The Charity  Little Brothers-Friends of the Elderly is a national non-profit, volunteer-based organization committed to relieving isolation and loneliness among the elderly. Its mission is to offer companionship and nutrition to seniors who go without the care they need for a happy, healthy life. (http://boston.littlebrothers.org). Little Brothers believes in, and nurtures, the philosophy that feeding the soul (with companionship, friendliness, and flowers) as well as the body (with good food) promotes both the physical and mental health of the elderly, enabling them to remain independent and avoid costly and impersonal institutional alternatives. Mrs. Angela Menino, first lady of Boston and honorary chairperson, along with Billy Costa of NECN's TV Diner and Kiss 108, invite you to one of Boston's most anticipated social events of 2008.
